We are looking for a motivated Garage Door Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for installing and servicing commercial garage doors while working with a fully licensed and certified commercial technician. Since our company offers service as well as new installations and remodels, technicians will travel to a variety of job sites, and each day will be unique. You will deal with customers on a daily basis throughout our service areas, so you need to be good at providing excellent customer service. - Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections for larger jobs
- Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices
- Complete a thorough inspection, make a precise diagnosis of any problems with the present system, and give the customer their options
- Attend meetings, follow all company policies, and participate in decision-making
- Be on time for all appointments, and put forth your best effort to satisfy customers
- You must have excellent customer service skills for this position
- Must have great communication, listening, and teamwork skills
- Must be able to use a measuring tape along with math and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Able to work with either power tools or hand tools

- Know various types of garage door manufacturers and models
- Know how to measure garage door opens
- Create custom garage door orders
- Accurately provide quotes to customers
- Maintain up-to-date information on our services and products, industry, competition, and market conditions in order to present them to clients and ensure customer needs are met
- Follow up with potential customers to showcase and highlight our new products or services
- Attend online and in-person meetings, trainings, trade shows, and sales events
- Keep company abreast of new business development opportunities, account status, potential customers, customer needs, and competitive issues using CRM
- Create and fulfill a customer acquisition strategy for your sales territory
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma preferred
- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
